Okay, so I know that you all know the rules of common courtesy and respectful discourse, but I am gonna lay it out here. Why? Because its my blog, so I get stuck being The Enforcer. Bottom line: Follow the Golden Rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated, and it’s all good. Dissent is welcome, as is heated debate, but be polite. If you are hurt or angry, wait until you calm down to post–and for Pete’s sake, stay away from ad hominem attacks: They will get you trap-doored.

Cross-posting is welcome, but if you want to re-post something from this blog, ask first and if you are given permission to re-post something from Susan’s Soapbox, give the original author credit (in general, permission will be granted, but keep in mind that original authors hold all copyrights).
